Description
Charles (CM) Russell, the “cowboy artist”, created more than 2,000 paintings of cowboys, Indians, and landscapes set in the Western United States. He lived and worked among the cowboys and the Blood Indian tribe in his younger years. This painting is called “Carson's Men” and depicts the legendary Kit Carson fording a river in the badlands with his motley band of cowboys and cavalry.
